The Oathbreaker Format

Hello Everyone, today I'm talking about a new format called Oathbreaker! It's like a different version of Commander. You are allowed to use any cards in MTG's history (Although there is a ban list). However there are a few differences. Instead of using a legendary creature as your commander, you use a planeswalker. This sounds exciting because now people can use planeswalkers to lead there decks, which will hopefully be a fun metagame. And instead of a hundred card deck, you use a sixty card deck. To remind some people, this isn't brawl. Yes it has sixty card decks, but it is different because you can use cards from any set of Magic. Finally, there is one more card that is put in your command zone. The signature spell. Basically, you have a planeswalker as your commander, and a spell that is treated like a commander. So when you build a deck you choose a commander and a spell that goes with it. This is and interesting aspect to gameplay so I'm interested to ...

Bridge from Below is Banned

If any of you have been keeping up with the modern metagame, you will know that a new graveyard deck has been rising in popularity. The deck is called Hogaak Bridgevine. The deck was very powerful and was starting to be played more and more. Wizards of the Coast just announced the ban of Bridge from Below. This card was very powerful and important to the deck and its strategy. Now that it is gone, is it still possible to play graveyard decks? I feel like the answer is yes. Dredge (another deck in the modern metagame) is still really good, and also doesn't really play Bridge from Below. Also even without Bridge from Below with a few changes Hogaak Bridgevine can still be really good. So graveyard decks are still a good option for a modern deck, and even with the ban, Hogaak Bridgevine could possibly be played, but just not as powerful as before.

New Mulligan Rule

There is now a new mulligan rule for Magic the Gathering. I'm going to go through how it goes but if you want to see more explanation you can go to the the official MTG Youtube channel cause they have a video out about it.  In the past you would draw seven cards, and if you wanted to mulligan, you would draw a new hand but this time with six cards. Every time you wanted to mulligan you would go down a card in your starting hand.  Now instead of drawing a hand but taking one card out every time, you draw seven cards every time but discard a card equal to how many times you've mulliganed a hand.  That's it for now! If I missed something tell me down below in the comments.

The Pauper Format

If you go back a few articles you will remember my article on commander. I said that it was the best format. That may possibly be true, but today I have a good competitor. Before I start talking I just want to clarify that this is my own opinions. Now when I think of what makes formats good, there are a lot of things that come up. Gameplay, fairness, but also how much money you need to spend to play it. Modern is a great format, but it costs a lot of money to get a deck. Standard is a little cheaper than modern, but it is a rotating format. But Pauper is a good balance of both. Pauper is a format where every card in your deck has to have been printed as a common at one point in time. So an all commons format. It may seem like all the decks might be terrible, but actually the power level of decks in the pauper metagame are very powerful. Pauper is not a rotating format, in fact, you can use any common card from all the sets in Magic's history! So you have access to a lot of...
